OrthAlign to Exhibit at American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in San Francisco and Showcase Next Generation KneeAlign® System

Aliso Viejo, CA - February 2, 2012 - OrthAlign, Inc., a privately held commercial stage medical device company, will be exhibiting February 7 through February 11, 2012 at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting (AAOS) in San Francisco.

During the AAOS, OrthAlign, Inc. will be introducing the KneeAlign® 2 System for distal femoral and tibial resection in Total Knee Arthroplasty. KneeAlign® is a unique, handheld surgical navigation technology that combines ease of use and low cost with the precision of large console computer-assisted surgery.

About KneeAlign®: Introduced in late 2010, KneeAlign® 1 has been widely endorsed by surgeons for its unique combination of precision and ease of use in Total Knee Arthroplasty tibial navigation. In March 2011, the Journal of Arthroplasty published successful interim data of an ongoing KneeAlign® 1 clinical study. A total of 42 knees underwent a total knee replacement using KneeAlign® 1. Postoperative standing anteroposterior hip-to-ankle and lateral knee-to-ankle radiographs demonstrated that 97.6% of the tibial components were placed within 90° ± 2° to the mechanical axis in the coronal plane, and 96.2% of the components were placed within 3° ± 2° to the mechanical axis in the sagittal plane.
